Costa Mesa, Calif., September 26, 2005 - Although Channel Vision is introducing a bevy of new products during EHX Fall 2005, its iBus iPod docking station and its HDTV Zero-Loss Video Extender are expected to draw the most interest during the Electronic House Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, Calif., Nov.7 - 11, 2005.

AB-311Channel Vision’s new AB-311 iBus is an A-BUS local input module designed to accommodate the wildly popular Apple iPod or iPod mini©. It requires no special hardware. In fact, you only need a screwdriver to mount the iBus into an existing pre-wired A-BUS installation.

"iPods are great for listening to your favorite music on the go, but many individuals like to listen to their favorite tunes while at home, hands free and without headphones," said Darrel Hauk, CEO and president of Channel Vision Technology. "Our new iBus offers music lovers the option of listening to their iPod tunes throughout their homes, whether entertaining, studying, cleaning the house, or lounging in the backyard."

A-BUS is a unique, proven technology for multi-room audio that utilizes a single Category 5 cable to carry signal, data, IR, status and power. ABUS places the amplifiers closer to the speakers, enabling superior sound quality, increased flexibility, simpler installation and consumer-friendly operation.

The iBus distributes iPod tunes through any standard A-BUS multi-room audio system while also charging the unit. With the integrated Omni connector, the iBus wall mount remains unobtrusive when not in use, yet its support ledge slides out easily, ready to dock an iPod at all times. When the iBus is not in use, its decorator design blends nicely with other household keypads and light switches. The iBus, however, comes to life when you pull the slide out cradle and dock your iPod.

"The iBus is stylish and inconspicuous," said Hauk. "When an individual removes an iPod from other iPod-type docking stations, it leaves behind a noticeable empty hole where the i-Pod docks."

The iBus also holds the iPod at an angle at light switch level allowing for easy reading of the iPod’s LCD display. It is compatible with any A-BUS whole-house audio system and any iPod with a dock connector.

"The iBus provides easy, high-quality, multi-room or zone specific audio output of iPod tunes," said Hauk.

P-1400 Zero-Loss Video Extender Delivers 100% HDTV signal clarity

Channel Vision’s new P-1400 Video-Loss Video Extender is an affordable solution for transmitting the highest possible video and audio clarity from a signal source to a display source.

It is easy to install and expandable up to 164 feet. The P-1400 consists of two components, an 82-foot cable (25 meters) and an electronics module. Embedded with Channel Vision’s proprietary technology, these components equal one powerful, universal product. A pre-tuned amplifier, the P-1400 provides connections for component video, s-video and composite video, and a shielded stereo for analog audio signals, IR signals or 12-volt triggers.

"The P-1400 is the first truly affordable product to deliver 100 percent HDTV signal clarity," said Darrel Hauk, president and CEO of Channel Vision. "P-1400 is for consumers who desire and demand optimum video. Other solutions create artifacts, whereas the P-1400 outputs exactly what you put in, 1080i HDTV."

The P-1400 interfaces seamlessly with projectors as well as all HDTV plasma and LCD screens. The module fits a 19-inch rack or structured wire enclosures from Channel Vision Technology and a variety of other manufacturers. You can also remove the snap-locks and attach it to any flat surface. The cable fits 1-inch conduit and has an attached pull-cable loop.

"Unlike similar products, the P-1400’s circuitry is designed to compensate for the signal losses inherent in the proprietary cable that is included," said Hauk. "The signal that goes into the P-1400 is identical to the signal that comes out. Consumers get what they paid for: HDTV quality."Channel Vision will also be showcasing several other new products during EHX Fall 2005, including its easy-to-install solutions for zero-loss HDTV and household audio distribution, including the P-1014 A-BUS Hub, a line of IR receivers and enclosure designer doors.

Channel Vision’s new P-1014 1 x 4 A-BUS Hub combines punchdown and RJ-45 connection versatility. A single source distribution module, the P-1014 delivers power and audio signals to four amplified keypads, and has four emitter outputs that relay IR signals. The P-1014 easily interfaces with input devices such as CD and MP3 players, AM/FM radios and satellite tuners. Adding Channel Vision’s telephone intercom system provides whole-house paging through the system’s speakers.Pairing the P-1014 1x4 A-BUS Distribution Module and the P-0925 Paging Module means designers and installers can provide homeowners with a complete, efficient and affordable whole-house music and communication system that is also easy to install.

"This versatile hub is the heart of an A-BUS multi-room audio system," said Hauk."It is a perfect companion for in-ceiling speakers."

Channel Vision’s P-0925 Paging Module integrates seamlessly with Channel Vision’s P-1014 1 X 4 ABUS Distribution Module to provide efficient and affordable whole-house paging. The unit’s form factor allows the paging module to be mounted in a structured wiring enclosure, 19-inch rack, or attached to any flat surface.
