Easily Supports Audio/Video, and IR Remotes for Use with Most Home Audio SystemsDENVER - Sept. 14, 2006 - CEDIA Expo 2006 Booth # 478 Channel Vision Technology announced today that it has begun shipping its new iBus(r)Wall Dock for Distributed Audio and Video (A0312). The wall dock is the newest addition to the company's line of distributed audio and video accessories for Apple(r) iPod(r) digital music player. The dock offers affordable, effortless integration into nearly any multi-room, multi-source audio/video system. Channel Vision will showcase its new A0312 iBus Wall Dock for Distributed Audio and Video at this year's CEDIA Expo in Denver at booth # 478.
"Although it is designed for portable music enjoyment, we're seeing a greater consumer demand for flexible iPod applications within the home," stated Darrel Hauk, president & CEO, Channel Vision. "Users love the idea of being able to run their tunes in a single room, throughout the house or in their back yards while entertaining."
The iBus is a single-gang decorator style wall dock with a support ledge and integrated dock connectors; the docking cradle slides in and out easily, remaining unobtrusive when not in use. The support ledge holds the iPod at an angle allowing for easy viewing of the iPod's LCD display when the dock is installed at light switch level.
In addition to a separate single-gang audio output for connection to an amplifier, the wall dock also provides an S-video and composite video output for support of multimedia playback to a local TV that can be placed in any location throughout the room. Through its pre-conditioned line level audio output from the iPod, the dock delivers audio long distances over a Cat 5 cable to the dock's output wall plate.
The output wall plate provides audio outputs for connection to an amplifier and an IR input for connection to an IR receiver making it compatible with both the Apple remote and the Channel Vision A0501 remote. Connecting each wall dock to an IR receiver offers handy household-wide control with the same play and search functions found on the iPod.
The wall dock uses active drive circuitry, therefore improving the noise immunity and maintaining solid signal quality ensuring the best possible listening experience. It includes three support clips for securing a variety of iPod styles to the wall dock and is currently available in white.
