TM announced its newly designed iBus
® Wall Dock for Distributed Audio and Video (A0314). The wall dock is the newest addition to the company's line of distributed audio and video accessories for the Apple
® iPod
® digital music player. The dock offers affordable, effortless integration into nearly all multi-room, multi-source audio/video systems. Channel Vision will showcase its new A0314 iBus Wall Dock for Distributed Audio and Video at this year's CES show in Las Vegas.
"Although it is designed for portable music enjoyment, we're seeing a greater consumer demand for flexible iPod applications within the home," stated Darrel Hauk, President & CEO, Channel Vision. "Users love the idea of being able to play their tunes in a single room and throughout the house or in their backyards while entertaining."
The newly redesigned iBus differs from its predecessor by offering a completely enclosed casing that allows the docking station to be placed both indoors and out. The weather resistant, UV protective cover makes this docking station ideal for use on patios and pool decks. Its acrylic cover allows for easy viewing of the iPod's LCD display. A spring plate securely holds the iPod in place behind the cover. In addition to a separate single-gang audio output for connection to an amplifier, the wall dock also provides an S-video and composite video output for support of multimedia playback to a local TV. Through its pre-conditioned line level audio output from the iPod, the dock delivers audio long distances over a CAT5 cable to the dock's output wall plate. The A0314 is the first member of the iBus family to have a built-in IR Receiver, which allows both the Apple remote and Channel Vision's A0501 & A0502 remotes to control the iPod simply by pointing the remote at the wall dock. The output wall plate provides audio outputs for connection to an amplifier and an IR input for connection to a whole house IR system, allowing the iPod to be controlled from any room. The wall dock uses active drive circuitry, therefore improving the noise immunity and maintaining solid signal quality ensuring the best possible listening experience. The iBus Wall Dock (A0314) accommodates and charges all Apple iPods with dock connectors including:
| • 1 iPod Video | • 2 iPod Mini |
| • 3 iPod Nano | • 4 4th Generation iPod with dock connector |
| • 5 iPod Photo | • 6 3rd Generation iPod with dock connector |
